NEIGHBORWORKS GREEN BAY ANNUAL CELEBRATION
Thank you for making our Annual Celebration unforgettable!
From longtime partners to brand-new neighbors, we were thrilled to gather with so many of you to celebrate the impact we’ve made and the future we’re building together. This year’s event, held on October 23 at The Ravine, featured two exciting new additions: our interactive Passport Journey, where guests visited stations to learn more about our work, and a one-of-a-kind Birdhouse Auction, featuring 19 handcrafted creations from 17 local artists. These vibrant centerpieces not only brought beauty to the room, they also raised funds to support housing education and counseling through our Homeownership Center. We’re still feeling the energy and connection from that evening, and we can’t wait to see how this momentum carries forward into another year of building stronger communities.
2025 PROGRAM RECAP
2025 saw the completion of a Bridges build on North Broadway, a twinhome on East Walnut, and townhomes on 4th Street. Our HomeOwnership Center added Spanish language classes with a new bilingual counselor. This year’s journey included new opportunities to solve housing challenges and new ways to build stronger communities.
In March in Green Bay and in October in Appleton, NeighborWorks Green Bay welcomed Tom Mosgaller and Mike Breininger, authors of Pulling Together: A Handbook for Community Change. The authors engaged the audience about how to build strong communities together.
During NeighborWorks Week in June, community members were invited to tour 815 Chicago Street and help dream up the future of the building. Community members are developing proposals for the next community use of this unique and historic space.
June also saw community partners come together for an Open House to celebrate the Bridges Construction and Renovation home build at 929 North Broadway. In the Bridges program, Green Bay Area Public School students build a home and earn high school and college credits. Special thanks to GLC Minerals, Forward Community Investments and the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation for making this project possible.
In September, the City of Green Bay and NeighborWorks Green Bay announced the launch of the Green Bay Housing Partnership, a Community Land Trust for permanently affordable housing in our communities. City government, non-profit organizations and business partners are coming together to make homeownership more accessible.
COMING TOGETHER TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS
Each September, NeighborWorks Green Bay, Green Bay Neighborhoods, the City of Green Bay, and the Village of Allouez, as well as many community partners plan to take on several projects helping neighbors in need in our community with minor home repairs, landscaping or yard maintenance. Applications are accepted from neighbors for minor home and yard repairs and landscaping projects. Special consideration is given to the elderly, veterans, low-income households, and individuals facing hardships.
Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity in partnership with NeighborWorks Green Bay have created a Home & Beyond Learning Series designed to help individuals learn, grow, and thrive in their homes. Home & Beyond Learning Series provides hands-on workshops to grow skills related to financial topics, food and nutrition, community, emergency preparedness, and home maintenance.
Your Impact
Since 2010, NeighborWorks Green Bay helped create 2,256 new homeowners and helped preserve 1,186 homes throughout the state of Wisconsin.
