The curriculum for our homebuyer education class was developed by NeighborWorks® America. It is approved by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is an adapter of the National Industry Standards (NIS) for Homebuyer Education and Counseling.

This course gave me the encouragement to become a homeowner. Having a team of professionals guide me with a plan motivated me to get organized. I believe people need each other for support and NeighborWorks Green Bay helped me achieve my dream.

Homebuyer Education

IN-PERSON (ENGLISH)

Completing Homebuyer Education requires only one 2-day class. Class is held each month on the first Monday and Tuesday. Registration is $50 for the 2-day course.

EN PERSONA (ESPAÑOL)

La clase se lleva a cabo en persona en español el tercer sábado de cada mes. El costo de esta clase es de $50.

PRE-PURCHASE COUNSELING

After completing Homebuyer Education, you’ll meet one-on-one with a HUD-certified housing counselor. Together, you’ll review your financial picture, discuss your homeownership goals, and create a clear plan for the next steps in your journey.

 

      • Due to availability, appointments may be scheduled a few weeks after completing the class.
      • Your counseling session lasts up to 90 minutes and may take place in person or via Zoom.
